At home Dr. Peters enjoys spending time with her husband Jay (a local mixed animal veterinarian), their son Samuel and their daughter Ella. The Peters' four-legged family includes a Bernese Mountain dog named Levi, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Breck, an Arabian horse named Diva, a miniature horse named Little Buck, and two cats named Poe and Junior. When Dr. Peters and her husband are not working or running the kids around to various sporting events (or feeding their entourage of animals), they enjoy hiking, horseback riding, downhill skiing and anything that allows them to be on the water.
